Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty

Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress born in Berkeley on the 1st October 1995. She is known as an actress in Choices (2010). The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2007) and Chrissie's Content House

Asia Argento was raised in Rome by a film maker and an actor family. Both professions she pursued her own. Aged nine she made her feature film debut with Sergio Citti in Sogni e bisogni. In 1988, she played the lead role in Cristina Comencini's debut film, Zoo (1988), as well as being in the ensemble of The Church (1989), directed by Michele Soavi. In 1989, she played Nanni Moretti's child for the film Red Wood Pigeon. (Also directed by Moretti). It was with Close Friends (1992), written and directed by Michele Placido, that Asia's career truly took off. she could transition from portraying very young girls, to more complex, mature role. Cannes International Film Festival was a great success for the film. Trauma (1996) as well as The Stendhal Sydrome are the others she's worked on with her famous father. The Phantom of the Opera marks her third collaboration with her father. The others are Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome. Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato a nozze showed Asia's absorption way of performing. She played Arianna in the film Perdiamoci by Carlo Verdone di vista, a role which was so complicated that she received the David di Donatello award as the most outstanding actress. Patrice Chereau directed Queen Margot in the film, and she also had the role of the physically challenged girl in the film. The year 1995 was the first time she appeared alongside Michel Piccoli as Traveling Companion in the film Peter Del Monte. This performance earned her the David di Donatello award (for the best actor) and the Grolla of Oro. Asia started directing as a career in 1994. Her first short film was Prospettive. A documentary she made about her dad followed by Abel/Asia (1998), a film which won an award during the Rome Film Festival and was both produced between 1996 and 1998. Asia's first feature length film debut is Scarlet Diva (2000) in 1999. She also played the role of lead actress and wrote the screenplay. The film was released in May 2000 in Italy and the rest of the world. The film was given a special award by the Williamsburg Film Festival in Brooklyn. Anna Lou, her first child, was born in the year 2001. She directed a number of music videos. She appeared in 2002 in The Red Siren directed by Olivier Megaton and starred alongside Jean-Marc Barr. Rob Cohen also directed the action film with Vin Diesel. Asia can also be the author of a number of short stories published in many high-end magazines.
